Systematic calculation of highly stressed bolted joints – Multi bolted joints
VDI 2230 Part 2 helps designers and engineers identify the most highly stressed bolt within a multi-bolted joint. It describes various calculation approaches, including their capabilities and physical limitations.
The results support a functionally and operationally reliable design in accordance with VDI 2230 Part 1. While primarily intended for high-strength steel bolts, the guideline can also be applied to other materials.
