VDI/VDE 2645 – Part 2

This standard describes the machine capability test (MCT) of fastening tools. It evaluates the stability and reproducibility of machine-related process parameters, enables the objective comparison of different fastening tools, and identifies machine-induced process errors. The evaluation is carried out statistically based on measurement data from fastening tools (short-term analysis). This ensures that only suitable tools are used. It applies to fastening tools with a controllable target variable, such as torque.
