Materials testing machines – Calibration of static torque measuring devices
This document applies to torque measuring devices in which torque is determined by measuring the elastic deformation of a deformation body or a proportional measurement variable. A torque measuring device is understood as the complete system, from the torque transducer to the indicating device.
This standard applies in particular to the calibration of torque measuring devices for the static testing of testing machines. It may also be applied to torque measuring devices in general applications or used as transfer standards. The standard describes a method for classifying these devices and provides a proposal for determining measurement uncertainty.
